This project grew out of my desire to create a small semblance of a golden skyscraper to be lived in by a beast, as if escaped from an unknown story told in one of those white-covered books. During the day, the gold mirror house is impenetrable; viewers cannot see into the interior. When night falls, the gold mirror house dissolves into a transparent glass box where the interior becomes an infinite mirroring world. This is what I faced introspectively for 48 hours; I saw my own image as a beast in infinite directions from inside this small little golden construct. |
