Why T-34? |

The form of T-34 simply comes very close to my platonic idea of a universal tank. Nevertheless, I would like to call attention to how I do not wish to limit the scope of this work to a specific weapon or war. My thoughts are bouncing off the universal concept of war, toys, violence and entertainment. Incidentally, the fact that thousands and thousands of T-34 were produced (as if they were consumer goods) during WWII synchronized well with the curatorial framework of MegART store. For the Russians, this tank also symbolizes a stupendous victory over Nazism. For me, a universal tank symbolizes universal human suffering, bleeding. |
